Yet
another film that has been generating a lot of excitement this summer is
Vyjayanthi Movies NTR, Hansika, Tanisha Starrer KANTRI. The film marks the
Directorial Debut of Meher Ramesh. Meher Ramesh is long term associate of
Hot shot Director Puri Jagannath and is said to be a key contributor in
several films.
Fresh
from his block buster success Yamadonga in the direction of S.S.Rajamouli,
NTR in his slim avatar looks even more macho with stubble in the first
images circulated of KANTRI. It may be recalled that NTR was successfully
introduced in a lead role in the film Student No.1 few years ago also
directed by S.S. Raja Mouli and produced by Vyjayanthi’s associate
production house Swapna Cinema. Now for the first time NTR stars in a film
by Vyjayanthi banner that bears the image of the legendary Sr. NTR as their
logo.
KANTRI is
reported to be a fast paced Action, Romantic Entertainer with extraordinary
production values - a trademark of all Vyjayanthi Productions. Music is by
Manisharma whose consistency for chart busting music is unquestionable. The
Music launch would be done through the hands of All India Super Star Rajini
Kanth in the third week of March’08.
Hansika
Motwani who stole young hearts of A.P. with her first film Desamuduru and
later of the whole of India with her debut film in Bollywood teams up with
NTR for the first time. The second female lead is the ravishing Tanisha (Bollywood
Top Star Kajol’s sister) who makes her debut in Telugu.
This
much anticipated movie KANTRI is slated for a mid-summer release towards the
end of April. This is the second major acquisition by SriMovies in a row,
close on the heels of another summer release Parugu. The Summer seems to be
hotting up. |
